The story behind Caramba.

From my early days as a child, I carried a dream deep within my heart - a dream of opening my own business. Growing up in the humble village of Orange Walk, Belize, I realized that achieving all my aspirations there would be challenging. In 1987, I made the life-changing decision to move to San Pedro. However, even after working for various restaurants and resorts, a sense of fulfillment eluded me.

In 1993, destiny brought Ms. Ana Patricia Reyes into my life, and together we embarked on a new venture by opening a fruit shop. Although successful, it wasn't the long-term vision I had in mind. Determined to pursue my true passion, I set my sights on opening my own restaurant. To enrich my knowledge and experience in the food and beverage industry, I temporarily relocated to South Beach, Miami. There, I honed my skills and climbed the ranks, preparing myself for the ultimate endeavor.

Upon returning to San Pedro, I finally saw my lifelong dream come to fruition. In 2002, Caramba! was born. Through my unwavering passion, Patricia's relentless hard work, the dedication of our diligent staff, and the loyalty of our cherished customers, Caramba! swiftly gained success within a short span of time.

Today, Caramba! remains a treasured family-owned business, with our two sons, René Jr. and Jonathan, actively contributing to the daily operations. We take immense pride in our establishment, knowing that you, as our valued guest, have countless dining options in San Pedro. On behalf of the entire Reyes family and our dedicated staff, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for choosing to share a meal with us.
